Set close to the Cumbrian Coast there are great views from High Wreah Wood across to Ennerdale and the fells of the Lake District.
A wide variety of broadleaf trees have been planted and are growing well, oak, ash, alder, willow and birch form the bulk of the planting but you may find other species growing amongst them. All of the planting was completed during 1998 and 1999. The new owner of High Wreah Wood will be entitled to claim annual Farm Woodland Premium Scheme (FWPS) payments until the trees are 15 years old. There are also orchids and sheep sorrel growing within the wood which adds to the interesting ground flora found thoughout.
Access to the wood is via a solid track from the main road, the purchaser will be given a full right of access along the track at all times and for all purposes together with a key for the gate.
Note. Please be aware that the aerial photo on Google is approximately 10 years old and shows the trees in their newly planted condition.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
