Coed Preseli is a regenerating woodland located in the South East corner of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.  It sits at the foot of the Preseli hills and is accessed down a tiny quiet lane surrounded by open moorland. The woodland is light and sunny and has a number of Willow, Rowan and Alder trees growing.   Being a young woodland, Coed Preseli offers an ideal opportunity for a conservation project to develop the diversity and habitat and watch the woodland grow.  There is an obligation to ensure that the woodland regrows so the owner will want to do some planting or ensure that the natural regeneration is satisfactory. Grant aid is available through "Better Woodlands for Wales".   A small stream forms the North East boundary and the area is rare wetland in parts with plenty of mosses, litchens, frogs, toads and newts. Seasonal wild flowers include Ragged Robin, Hypericum, Buttercups and a wonderful display of Foxgloves.

Parts of the Pembrokeshire Coastal path are easily accessed from here and there is plenty of opportunity for hill walking.  The village of Crymych is only a couple of miles away with shops, a cafe and a pub.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
