Tan-y-Clawdd is a flat, open woodland with views out towards the Preseli hills on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park. It is a young, regenerating woodland with mainly Willow and Rowan trees. There is plenty of scope for designing and planting and it is an ideal woodland for someone looking for a conservation project. There is an obligation to ensure that the woodland grows so the owner might need to add to the natural regeneration by planting additional trees. Grant aid is available to contribute to this through "The Better Woodlands For Wales" scheme.
Tan-y-Clawdd is situated in a very peaceful part of the countryside, surrounded by Moorland and accessed via a quiet country lane. A wide track runs through the woodland and there is a turning bay at the end of this. The woodland is wetland in parts and has a small stream which meanders through the middle of it. There is plenty of wildlife here: buzzards, frogs, toads and newts. Wildflowers are abundant in Spring and Summer and include Ragged Robin, Foxgloves, St. Johns Wort and even wild Orchids.
Crymych is very easy to reach from here and has shops, a cafe and pub. The Preseli hills, a range of rugged peaks criss-crossed with plenty of footpaths to explore are close by and Cardigan Bay lies only a few miles away.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries: The boundaries of this woodland are marked indicatively with mauve coloured paint on stakes and fence posts.

From Crymych take the A478 towards Clunderwen. After a couple of miles you will drive past the sign for the hamlet of 'Pentre Galar'. Take the next right turn, a narrow lane. Follow this along and after about a mile and a half look for a track on the right. Just set back from the track is a gate with a WOODLANDS FOR SALE sign. The woodland is through this gate and on the right hand side. Park in the pull in in front of the gate whilst viewing the woodland, taking care not to block the entrance.
