SOLD: Drumsill Wood £25,000 Freehold

Description

Drumsill Wood lies in the townland of Drumsill, about 3 miles from Lisburn.

With a sheltered southerly aspect, it incorporates an area of meadow along its southern boundary, with the woodland sloping gently to the north. This orientation ensures that Drumsill Wood captures more of the sun's rays!

Ash and silver birch trees predominate, with groups of oak, hazel and Scots pine. The birch has grown particularly well and forms an attractive backdrop to the wood.

With judicial thinning of the ash, a clearing could be created in the middle of the area ideal for camping and outdoor activities, with perhaps the introduction of more young trees to further develop the species and age diversity. The ash is of an ideal size for producing first rate firewood.

Drumsill Wood’s compact size makes it ideal for anyone new to woodland ownership as it will be easy to manage, and offers great opportunities for an appreciation of the outdoors. Furthermore, its location is very accessible where there is a right of way along the solid track leading from the wooden roadside gate to the wood. Here there is plenty of space for parking.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant
