Located just outside the charming village of Valley and a stone's throw from the breath-taking Anglesey coastline, Rig Meadow is a manageable parcel of ex-agricultural land with significant amenity appeal. Upon entering the meadow, you’ll notice turquoise and purple painted wooden stakes marking the southern boundary. Follow these to the western boundary, defined by stock-proof fencing, and let the stunning sea views across Holyhead Bay captivate you. The sea views which can be enjoyed are a rare find.

The northern boundary is formed by a well-established hedgerow teeming with blackberry bushes, which provide essential food and shelter for local wildlife. The eastern boundary runs 1 metre away from the inside edge of the stone access track. The track is shielded by a mature hedgerow that protects the meadow from easterly weather elements and enhances its charm. Along this track, you'll find the meadow's nameplate, which also designates the meadows private area of hardstanding where a vehicle can be parked away off the track.

Rig Meadow, historically used for pastureland and hay production, is perfect for tree planting and rewilding projects and is also ideal for those that may enjoy the occasional camping holiday. Visualise rows of young trees steadily growing into a lush woodland, and patches of native wildflowers attracting butterflies, bees, and other wildlife. To find the meadow, head west on the A55 towards Holyhead and take the Valley exit (Junction 3). Proceed through the village on the A5, Holyhead Road. After passing the petrol station on your left, take the second right onto Gorad Road. Continue straight for approximately 1km, passing several houses on your left, until the road curves to the right. The main entrance is just after this bend on the left, marked by Woodlands signs. Park here and carefully climb the gate. After walking around 90 metres, you’ll find Rig Meadow on the left side of the track, a short distance beyond the large barn.
