They used tarps so i dont understand all the brush as if it was a real leal to shelter???

The best emergency shelter is conical. That way you can tie a rope to the inside top of it and in strong wind you can hold it steady. All you need is some straight (close fitting) sapling's, about two fingers wide and 4 or 5 feet tall, for this shelter and a bit of rope to tie the top three pole's to make the initial tripod.

Even if you don't have a tarp, you could improvise. It's not impossible for you to have a tarp however, if you keep one with you. We keep some in our vehicles at all times for instance. I think this would be an excellent idea over a raised bed inside a lean to shelter to keep things extra warm. Nicely done! 😀
