Working Horses -horse logging in woodland
By woodlandstv
Slow connection? Watch in lower quality
Another of our popular films in High Quality. See Ardennes horses working with logs. Glorious shots of these magnificent animals, with plenty of information from the Working Horse Trust

by accent i'd sday britain. but in america you have grater chances to see draft horses than in europe. about ardennes i don't know, drop by on the front porch of rural heritage page.
Love watching this, i'm trying to get involed with timber extraction with a horse soon, can't wait.
I work with Ardennes too, such kind-hearted beasts with a calm disposition… but strong as hell 😛
@bluemoondiadochi The name already says it, this race originates from the Ardennes mountain range (Luxembourg/Belgium) but you can find them all over Europe… though the chances are higher in that particurlar area if you want to find a pure "Ardennais" =)
large parts of Europe still and always have used, Horses ponys and donkeys on a daily basis I would suggest you visit eastern Europe and take a look at how common place working horses really still are.
The working horse trust is to lose its home theworkinghorsetrust
I read that Gaius Julius Caesar used these horses for his equestrians, and later been used for the Clibanarii and byzantine Cataphract. and, for use in legionary baggage train.
