Nice. It's just maddening that they are called stoves (I agree with ChesterLoadstone below), because these don't cook food. Should be called furnaces.

I have a fireplace .What is the best wood burning unit or insert to put in a fire place space .

They have modifications that can be made to mantles to make your fireplace more efficient. Split the logs into smaller strips, the more you split, the more surface area you expose to oxygen at a time. Make sure the wood is dried at least 6 months, because fresh cut wood is 45% water by weight. Ironwood, Elm and Oak, Hickory, Sugarmaple make the best wood for burning.

Oak, hickory and ash are the best woods to burn. Split them real good, say an inch thick instead of huge logs and make sure they're dried.

In general, current residents of the United Kingdom have very little interest in planting trees because is something that is regarded as a low-class and undignified activity reserved for immigrant laborers. This is a rather peculiar stance because well-manicured English gardens are an inherent part of the culture. So why proliferate wood burning stoves unless they have the wood to back up demand.

I'm surprised how many residual flammable hydrocarbons still exist in the flue gases even after secondary combustion.
I've been looking at Burley stoves.
The number one thing is getting your wood dry though.
