I heard they taste like strong urine, good to know they are edible. They sure will help in case of global collapse (war, zombies, whatever)

I live in a city – what sources of 'slow moving protein' would you recommend?

The common hobo, try capturing one in the morning when it is still groggy.
Make sure to cook it well, as they feed on detritus and carry diseases.
Also the clothes must not be ingested as they tend to accumulate drugs.

Eating a woodlouse is foul. A mean a grasshopper or ants or a meal worm is one thing, but this is foul.
