One of the French kings were quite fond of doing this kind of work, it was a seecret only close family knew about, working in the garden was accepted but making chairs, no way!
@AliasUndercover It's a dibber, or dibbing stick. You poke a hole in the ground with it, to the depth you need for that kind of plant, drop your seed in and cover over.
He could have had a mug of tea next to him, that would have earned him extra Britishness points. Especially if he dunked a biccie in it. 🙂

Two men came to do some work for me. They made a right Arse of the job. They where called Bodge it and Scarper.Never again to be seen.
