I am a portable sawmill owner/operator here in the U.S. and have worked on some timber frame projects. It's nice when a land owner has some timber to work with and knows what they're doing when embarking on a timber frame project. Sometimes if they have some timber that they want to use in their new house it can be incorporated in a non-critical area or as an ornamental addition.
