Whilst I am against the killing of wild animals and I am a big lover of native wildlife, I see the use of roadkill as fair game, and have hunted in my past too. I think it is very important that all those who choose to eat meat, realise the cost of that food source and experience taking that life for themselves. It is I feel also important that the life of that animal be respected, by using as much of the animal as is possible, not simply throwing it away. This is something that so many people in modern culture do not understand, and have no respect for. It is sad that our children eat meat products and yet have no idea from where it came. The crafts this Woman does, makes the use of roadkill, and other what would be waste products. She obviously has a deep respect for the animals she uses in her art. And although many will be squeamish at what She does, I am sure they pay no attention to where the skin for there shoes and belts came from. Ignorance is not the same as innocence. Peace and Love.
