Sarah Pye is a contemporary impressionist, specialising in painting woodlands and other landscapes. Her technique is very unique, dropping the paint from a height in a multi layer style which creates beautiful images, in this short film we follow Sarah in the process of creating three woodland paintings.

Really great art.
Such beautiful work.
And the wind cries Sarah. Had Jimi seen your work that would surely be the lyric.
Nice way to make a painting…. but this is not impressionism
Amazing work Sarah!
I feel It is impressionism i.e shifting effect of light and colour, capturing the feeling of the woodland scene rather than being an accurate depiction so yes the droplet style of Sarah's work lends itself to a contemporary impressionist style of working and beautiful it is !!
Hi Sarah, congrats to your outstanding work – I love it very much!! Best regards from Innsbruck/Austria. Otmar Mosbacher
