Mindfulness: Walking in the Woods

Slow connection? Watch in lower quality

Here we follow Daisie from Wild Wanderings UK.

Wild Wanderings UK is an experience of feeling oneself as an extension of nature itself. You come to explore yourself, the individual, and to expand that awareness to the world around you. To walk and to be fully present on this earth, amongst these trees and on this soil is to experience the true state of peace, stillness, serenity and bliss that is our birth right. So within so without. Let's walk.

With thanks to Daisie

The woodland and the wilderness is such a great healer especially when the mind and soul is engulfed in grief or trauma. I think what Daisie is doing is great. When I became mentally unwell a few years ago with severe anxiety and depression. I began to visit my local woodland and go for walks alone in the early hours of the morning when I wasn't sleeping well. Through doing that I managed to reduce the severity of my anxiety and depression and it re-ignited my passion for nature. Get outside people into the wild spaces it's so good for you.

I felt the same thing recently, the woods near me got closed off for almost 2 years, now I can go there again it makes a big difference in my life, woodland walks are healing for sure, I try and aim for at least one hour a day there.

This area will probably be bulldozed to build Soviet style apartments for migrants.

it is so nice to see and hear that many people in UK aren't too far from their Celtic roots! Love it.
