In this film by accomplished film maker Natalie Clements, we meet Jonny Hulson, Land Management Development Officer from the North Wales Wildlife Trust, to learn about no fence tree planting. This is a technique that can be used in areas grazed by sheep and other livestock. The trees are planted without tree guard protection and using a method that reduces the risk that the tree is damaged by livestock and deer. The trees also provide shade and shelter to the livestock, and habitat for wildlife. Jonny talks through the tools he uses and demonstrates how to do it. Could this be an option for you?
