I was told on my forestry chain saw course to ALWAYS fill the bar oil tank before the petroil mix. This way, if you are interrupted after say filling the petroil first and forget the bar oil, you can total both the chain and the bar. Filling the oil first means if you are interrupted and forget to put fuel in, no damage can be caused, you just may not be able to start the saw. Simple but and example of a good practice. Cheers, John.
why u tighteen The corks so much?
From my experience I have found that the oil cap can be loosened by passing through dense brush, come completely open, and even be ripped right off the retaining cord, and have all the oil fall out, and even be lost in dense undergrowth.
I would have thought I would have noticed, but with visor, the earmuffs, and the difficult environment, I did not….
ha
I heard this guy with the clean, sap free PPE is a desk jockey when he's not making choreographed, lovely, informative, textbook forestry videos with especially tinkley musical intros!
