I am looking for any mixed broadleaved woodland suitable for coppicing and underwood harvesting primarily for fuelwood and charcoal (not exclusively - dependant on the species mix). Intention is to operate so as to enhance the conservation/biodiversity of the woodland, and to leave as little environmental footprint as is possible. The aim is to keep alive traditional sustainable crafts, and reduce our total dependance on fossil fuels. BYV (Birmingham Youth Volunteers) I am a Volunteer for this project where we take under-privileged children from 11 to 16 year olds that come from broken homes etc Our aim is to give them 1-2 weeks camping and adventure experience to take them out of a very unsocial environment and also to give their carers a break. Obviously we run the camp with volunteers from all walks of life and raise funds to give the children an adventure holiday to remember with lots of activity to occupy their minds We are looking for somewhere to set up our camp for the 1-2 weeks towards last few weeks in August. Hi there, I am looking to work with a woodland owner to set up and run a site to hire to outdoor enthuasts for weekends and occassional week long in summer. And to extend to school groups. Ideally it would be at least 20 acres that is accessable (can have sheep grazing on land) with ability to park or camp on it, preferablly with at least 5 acres of woodland. Have a business plan to discuss with any landowner, who either wishes to pure rent or a long-term purchase plan. Just currently don't have the capital to get started.
